CLASS OVERVIEW

As a Practitioner, Do You Ever Feel Like You’re Hitting A Brick Wall With Your Patients?

Gastrointestinal complaints are among the most challenging conditions you face in clinical practice. Despite following standard functional medicine protocols, many patients show minimal improvement.

The reason? Relying on nutritional-supplement approaches often oversimplifies complex GI disorders, leading to generic treatment plans that fail to address the unique mechanisms driving each patient's condition.

Dr. Datis Kharrazian's comprehensive course changes this paradigm. Drawing from over two decades of clinical experience and groundbreaking research, Dr. Kharrazian has developed a systemic approach that helps practitioners identify the essential clinical variables that need to be identified and addressed when working with various GI dysfunctions.

Why Traditional Approaches to Gut Treatment Fall Short

Gastrointestinal complaints are among the most challenging conditions clinicians face. Despite following standard protocols, many patients show minimal improvement.

This is because most practitioners are unaware of crucial mechanisms like:

  • How various steps in digestion have powerful downstream impacts of the microbiome.

  • Which physiological factors, unrelated to diet, have profound impacts on microbiome diversity and function.

  • Why all cases of intestinal permeability are not the same; i.e., how transcellular permeability is different from paracellular permeability.

  • How endotoxemia from intestinal permeability has various degrees of impact on clinical outcomes.

  • How disruption from the brain due to neurodegeneration or traumatic brain injury can lead to dysautonomia and promote chronic gastrointestinal dysfunction.

  • How intestinal autoimmunity is different than general gut inflammation. Why certain gut conditions are chronic and how to educate patients to avoid patient and practitioner burn out.

These factors—and many more—can determine treatment success and failure.

Did You Know...

Most patients with leaky gut will not respond to leaky gut supplements.
Probiotics only have an effect as long as you’re taking them, if at all. It is more effective to help patients change their gut microbiome.
Gut bacteria influence both health and disease through the production of postbiotics.
Ignoring the brain-gut axis and the vagus nerve is a major reason many patients don’t get better.
A primary factor in a person’s health is the diversity of their gut microbiome
One of the worst things a practitioner can do to a chronically ill patient is to overly restrict their diet.

Introducing....A Revolutionary Approach to GI Health

Dr. Kharrazian’s groundbreaking course is based on over 20 years experience working with patients throughout the U.S. and Europe, breakthrough scientific research, and his own time-tested clinical strategies.

He will teach you a step-by-step clinical approach to identify the underlying mechanisms that lead to conditions such as leaky gut or irritable bowel syndrome.

It’s crucial for you to effectively manage chronic GI conditions because they are linked to:
  • Depression
  • Fatigue
  • Autoimmunity
  • Chronic pain
  • Brain function
  • Hormonal issues, and more.

By helping your patients manage their gut issues, you help them manage so much more.
COURSE FEATURES

Learn the most important clinical principles necessary to untangle chronic gastrointestinal disorders

Master the core principles of GI health for effective, personalized treatment

1
