Assessing Toxic Load
CLASS OVERVIEW

Do you have patients who end up in your office with mysterious symptoms that don't respond to conventional treatment?

Your patients are suffering from conditions that conventional medicine can't explain or effectively treat.

The research now clearly indicates that the chronic disease epidemic is primarily due to environmental toxins—man-made chemicals and metals released through industrialization that weren't present in our environment before.

These environmental toxins have become the primary cause of the chronic diseases you're seeing in your practice every day.

Dr. Joseph Pizzorno’s comprehensive course changes this paradigm.

Drawing from over five decades in medicine, Dr. Pizzorno has developed a systemic approach that will give you the foundational knowledge you need to address what may be the root cause of most of your patients' conditions.

Why the traditional approach to toxins falls short

We're living through the highest burden of chronic disease in every age group in human history. The primary cause? Environmental toxins.

  • 35% of the US population currently has arsenic levels above the official threshold.

  • 20% of the US population has cadmium levels at or above the threshold for increased disease risk, and
20% of osteoporosis cases are directly caused by cadmium toxicity.

  • Despite bans on BPA, 95% of the population still has bisphenol levels known to increase disease risk.

  • 50% of all cardiovascular deaths are due to lead or arsenic exposure.

  • 60% of our total toxic load comes from food—not just what's in the food when it's grown, but what happens during transport, packaging, storage, and cooking.

Here's the clinical reality:

Environmental toxins contribute to virtually every chronic disease. Yet many practitioners don’t know how to assess and address toxic burden appropriately.

Did You Know...

Of the 83,000 chemicals approved for use in the US, approximately 1,000 of them are present at high enough levels in the environment to pose a risk to human health.
Key biomarkers in standard tests can help indicate whether the patient's body is successfully protecting itself or if toxic damage is accumulating faster than it can handle.
Primary toxin exposure sources include breastfeeding (i.e., maternal-fetal transfer), beef and dairy products from animals that were fed contaminated feed, and fish from contaminated waters.
Diabetes, which now affects 16% of the population but was virtually nonexistent 50 years ago, is directly linked to what researchers now call "diabetogens."
For every quartile increase in bisphenol exposure, children lose 1.6 IQ points.
A simple questionnaire consisting of 10 questions can assess most major toxin exposures.

Introducing....A Revolutionary Approach to Addressing Toxic Load

He'll teach you how to use everyday lab tests as early warning systems for toxic exposure—and how to monitor treatment progress using the same inexpensive markers.

This comprehensive course is designed to give you the foundational knowledge you need to address what may be the root cause of most of your patients' conditions. In this four-hour class, you’ll learn:

  • How toxins cause disease at the cellular and systemic level.

  • Evidence-based methods to assess your patients' toxic burden from environmental exposures.

  • Practical guidance on how to address the primary cause of most chronic diseases.

By helping your patients reduce their toxic load, you’ll help them with so much more.

Joseph Pizzorno, ND

Dr. Joseph Pizzorno, ND is a transformational leader in medicine. Through half a century of work, he has helped establish and advance the academic, scientific, and clinical foundation of natural, functional, integrative, and environmental medicine. As founding president of Bastyr University in 1978, he coined the term "science-based natural medicine" and led Bastyr to become the first ever accredited institution in the field. He has set worldwide standards of practice by authoring or co-authoring 6 textbooks for doctors, including the Textbook of Natural Medicine (over 100,000 copies in 4 languages across 5 editions) and Clinical Environmental Medicine. He is Editor-in-Chief of PubMed-indexed IMCJ—the most widely read, peer-reviewed journal in the field (25,000 copies each issue). He is a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Functional Medicine, where he served 3 terms as Chair. A licensed naturopathic physician, educator, researcher, and expert spokesman, he is also author or co-author of 8 consumer books (most recent, Healthy Bones, Healthy You! with wife Lara). He founded SaluGenecists to develop artificial intelligence tools to help consumers and professionals improve healthcare outcomes.
